How to make Indian style Veg Cutlet/Veg cutlet Recipe:-
Vegetable cutlet is very famous as a snack in north India. Veg cutlet is quick, delicious and very healthy dish. People of India love to eat Veg cutlet as a evening snacks with a cup of chai(tea) and kids also like as it tastes yummy. It is very simple and to cook and takes very less amount of time. you can make this dish on the special function also. Veg cutlet can be serve as a stater also. It is made from the normal ingredients available in your kitchen, so need to worry. Let's start how to make veg cutlet.
Ingredients for making Veg cutlet:-
↦ Potato - 4 to 5 medium
↦ Onion - 1 (finely chopped)
↦ Green chilli - 2 (finely chopped)
↦ Mustard seeds - 1/2 tbsp
↦ Bread crumbs - 1 cup
↦ all purpose flour(maida) - 4 to 5 tbsp
↦ Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
↦ Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
↦ Red chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp
↦ Amchoor powder(dry mango powder) - 1/2 tbsp
↦ salt as per taste
↦ Water - 1/2 cup
↦ oil - for shallow fry the cutlets
↦ Garam masala powder - 1/2 tbsp
↦ Chaat masala - 1/2 tbsp
↦ Fresh coriander leaves - finely chopped
Directions for making the recipe:-
➦ Firstly, wash and pressure cook all the potatoes.
➦ Now, peel all the potatoes, add salt as required and mash it very well.
➦ After that, heat oil in pan for 2 minutes.
➦ Now, add mustard seeds and when it began to crackle then add chopped onion and chopped green chilli, saute till it gets golden brown in colour.
➦ Further add Turmeric powder, Red chilli powder, Garam masala powder, amchoor powder(dry mango powder), chaat masala and stir it on medium flame for half minute.
➦ Now, add fresh chopped coriander leaves and stir fry for 1/2 minute, keep it aside and cool it.
➦ In the next process, try to make round shape from fried mashed potaoes with help of your palms and press slightly with your fingers and make like aloo tikki.
➦ Take all purpose flour(maida) in a bowl, add water and make batter. Keep it mind that batter should not be too thin or too thick, it should have pouring consistency and there should be no lumps left behind in it.
➦ If you don't have bread crumbs in your kitchen then you can easily make it. Cut the edges of bread and grind it well, your bread crumbs is ready.
➦ Now, heat oil in a pan.
➦ Further, deep all cutlet one by one in the maida(all purpose flour) batter .
➦ Coat all cutlets one by one in bread crumbs from the both sides.
➦ Now, place all the cutlets on tava/pan for shallow fry. we will not deep fry it beacause it is not good for your health.
➦ On medium flame fry it for 1 minute and flip it, spread some tbsp of oil around the cutlets and fry it from another side. flip in between the cutlets for 2 or 3 times until it becomes crispy and golden brown in colour.
➦ Here your veg cutlets is ready to eat. Serve hot with green chutney, tomato sauce or a cup of tea and share your experience with me.
