How to make veg manchurian / cabbage manchurian /dry manchurian

          veg manchurian is a Chinese dish. in India people love to eat 
       manchurian. It can be eaten as an appetizer and served with
       rice and noodles. It is very easy to cook also.

Ingredients for making manchurian balls:-

  • cabbage - 2 cups(grated or grinded)
  • All purpose flour - 2 tbsp
  • corn flour - 2 tbsp
  • Rice flour - 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Soya sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Onion -1(finely chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste                      

Method for making manchurian balls:-

  1. First take the grated cabbage into a bowl then add little salt, mix it well and cover it for 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. In the next process open the cover and mix it once, squeeze out the water completely from the cabbage. we can use this stock in cooking or kneading dough.
  3. Add onion, all purpose flour, corn flour, rice flour, add little salt because previously we added the salt. Add garam masala powder (it is optional), add red chilli powder, add ginger garlic paste and add soya sauce into the cabbage and mix it well.
  4. For binding the mixture properly mix with your palms. Don't use water in the mixture.
  5. Try to make manchurian balls from the mixture with the help of your palm, if needed then you can add corn flour or maida(all purpose flour).
  6. Turn on the flame and heat oil in a pan. once the oil is heated properly, add manchurian balls in oil and fry it on medium flame.
  7. Now prepare the balls from the remaining dough and fry, till it gets brown or cooked properly. Take it out on a kitchen paper towel. repeat the process of frying remaining manchurian balls and in between keep flipping the balls. Take it out the balls and keep aside. Now, the manchurian balls are ready. 

Ingredients for manchurian gravy:-

  • Green chilli sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Shezwan chutney - 1 tbsp
  • Tomato ketchup - 2 tbsp
  • Capsicum - 1(cut into square pieces)
  • Onion - 1(cut into square pieces)
  • Corn flour - 2 tbsp
  • Water -1/2 cup
  • Vinegar - 1 tbsp
  • Salt as required

Method for making gravy for manchurian:-

  1. Turn on the flame, heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add ginger and garlic in the oil and saute it for a few seconds.
  3. Add capsicum, green chilli, onion and fry it for a minute.
  4. Add red chilli powder, soya sauce, vinegar, red chilli sauce, schezwan chutney, green chilli sauce, tomato ketchup, little salt and mix it well.
  5. Add little water in corn flour, pour in the gravy and make semi-thick batter and mix it well. Add little water if needed and mix it well.
  6. Sauce is ready now, turn off the flame. Add fried manchurian balls in the gravy and mix it well.
  7. Now cabbage manchurian is ready, serve hot in a plate, garnish with the chopped coriander leaves and enjoy with your family.
