Ajwain flavoured puri/ khasta puri
How to make ajwain flavoured puri/ khasta puri:-
Ajwain flavoured puri is a deep fried bread is eaten for breakfast or as a light meal. It is usually served with gravy, bhaji or sweet dish. It takes less time,very easy to cook and very tasty.
Ingredients for ajwain puri:-
- Whole wheat flour (atta) - 250 gm
- carom seeds (ajwain) - 1/2 tbsp
- Refined oil - for deep fry
- Salt as per taste
- Water - 1 cup
Method for making khasta puri:-
1. To begin ajwain puri recipe, take bowl, add wheat flour(atta),add carom seeds, 2 tbsp refined oil, salt 1/2 tbsp and mix all the ingredients well.
2. With the help of water knead a soft atta, cover it and leave for 15 minutes.
3. Open the cover and make equal small balls and roll them on a board with the help of rolling pin in circle shape. The puri must not be too thin otherwise puri will not puffed nicely.
4. Heat oil in a kadai with enough oil for frying the puris.
5. After 10 minutes add little bit of the dough into the oil to check the oil, if it is hot or not. If the dough rises up, then the oil is ready for fry the puris.
6. Now carefully slide the puri into the oil. From the top side press the puri with your laddle and when it fuffed up from the top, then flip the puri and cook on the both side till it gets golden brown.
7. Now, take it out on a kitchen paper towel for absorbing excess oil.
8. Now, azwain flavoured puri is ready. Serve this hot puffed puris with the bhaji, gravy, sweet dishes as your choice and enjoy with your family.
