Hello friends, i am Sonam and welcome in my cooking blog www.foodlovingsonam.blogspot.com. So, friends today i will share very popular dish of Bihar that is recipe of chuda or chivda in Bihari style. Spicy chuda or chivda is mostly consumed as evening snacks with cup of tea in the evening and it is loved by almost every age group of people and kids just loved to eat this because it is loaded with lots of roasted peanuts. It is good option for evening snacks as it takes very less time to cook and it is very light recipe. It is made with normal ingredients which is available in almost every household. So, let's start the process of making recipe.
Chuda or Chivda
Chivda or chuda

Ingredients for making chivda aur chuda:-

  • Beaten rice or flattened rice(poha) - 1 cup
  • Onion - 1 (finely sliced)
  • Green chilli - 1 (finely chopped)
  • Cooking oil - 2 tbsp
  • Curry leaves - 5 to 6 
  • Salt as per taste
  • Peanuts - 1/ 4 cup

Directions for making chuda/chivda:-

1. First of all, heat oil in a kadai/pan and fry all the peanuts for 1 minute on medium flame.

2. Now, take it out all the fried peanuts on kitchen paper towel and keep aside.

3. Now, in the same kadai/pan add chopped green chilli, sliced onion, curry leaves and saute till onion gets translucent.

4. After that, add flattened rice or beaten rice or poha, fried peanut, salt and fry for 5 minutes on medium flame.

5. Stir in between for 5 to 7 times until they get crispy.

6. Now, turn off the flame and transfer all the chuda or chivda in serving plate with a cup of tea and enjoy.
