Hello friends, welcome in my cooking blog. Friends, today i am going to share a very popular Indian sweet dish that is dry gulab jamun made from gulab jamun mix powder. This dessert is eaten all over in India and people eat this with much interest. Dry gulab jamun can be made in special Indian festival like Holi, Dussehera, diwali and it can be made and served in special functions like kitty parties, naming ceremony, in marriage functions and in birthday parties.
After eating tasty dishes we Indian people love to eat sweet dishes and i love to eat dry gulab jamun after my dinner and my family members too. Friends, dry gulab jamun is very easy and simple sweet recipe and takes very less amount of time to cook. Dry gulab jamun is made from the normal ingredients available in your kitchen and all you have to bring is only gulab jamun mix powder. So, friends not wasting too much time let's start the procedure of making dry gulab jamun.

Ingredients for making Dry Gulab Jamun:-
For Gulab Jamun:-
- Gulab Jamun mix powder(Gits) - 1 packet
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Dry Coconut powder - 1/2 cup
- Cooking oil - for frying gulab jamun
For sugar syrup:-
- Sugar - 1 and 1/2 cup
- Water - 1 cup
- Cardamom powder - 1 tbsp (small)
- Kesar - 1 pinch
Directions for making Dry Gulab Jamun:-
For gulab jamun:-
1. First of all remove all the gulab jamun mix in a pot and sieve it properly.
2. Now, with the help of water knead a soft dough.
3. Cover the dough and let it rest for half an hour.
4. Now, open the cover of the dough and grease your both palm with little oil.
5. Pinch one small ball from dough and try to make a cracked free ball with the help of your palm.
6. In this way make balls from all the dough and cover all dough balls from wet cloth.
7. In the next process, heat enough oil in a kadai for frying gulab jamun.
8. To check the oil that it is properly heated or not, put little amount of dough in oil and when it rises in upward direction, it means oil is ready to fry.
9. Now, in medium flame put gulab jamun balls in oil and fry from both the side till they get brown in colour as all the gulab jamun looks and take it out all the gulab jamun balls in kitchen paper towel.
10. In this way, fry all the gulab jamun balls.
Directions for making sugar syrup for gulab jamun:-
1. Firstly, turn on the flame and add water in a pot and add sugar and bring it to boil.
2. Now, add cardamom powder, kesar and mix it well.
3. Boil sugar syrup on medium flame until it gets sticky and for checking its stickiness put a drop in between 2 fingers, if you feel syrup sticky then turn off the flame.
4. Now, put all the fried gulab jamun balls in sugar syrup and leave it for 30 minutes.
5. when all gulab jamun absorbs all the sugar syrup then take it out all the gulab jamun in a plate.
6. Now, coat all the gulab jamun with dry coconut powder from all side.
7. Now, your dry gulab jamun sweet is ready to eat. serve this sweet hot or chilled and enjoy.
