How to make chutney for sandwich/Coriander chutney/spicy green chutney:-

Hello friends,  welcome in my cooking blog and today i will introduce spicy green chutney which is mostly used for sandwich. This spicy green chutney is mostly famous in Mumbai(India) and this chutney is mostly used in making sandwich which is very popular street food of Maharashtra(India). This chutney is very easy to make and takes very less amount of time to prepare even bachelors can make this chutney. This delicious chutney is made from regular ingredients which is easily available in your kitchen. This chutney can be use for multiple foods like in kachori, dahi vade, with pakoda, raj kachori, with samosa, sev puri, dahi puri and many more dishes. Once you make this chutney, you can easily store this green chutney in refrigerator for 2 or 3 days. Today i will tell you the process of making chutney in very unique method by which the colour and consistency of chutney will look very good. So, without wasting time let's start the procedure of making green coriander chutney.

Ingredients for making spicy green chutney:-


  • Fresh coriander leaves - 1 bunch
  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Ginger - 1 inch
  • Green chilli - 3 pieces
  • Roasted peanut - 4 tbsp
  • Sev - 3 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Raw mango - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Water - as needed

Directions for making spicy green chutney:-

1. Firstly, wash coriander leaves 2 or 3 times with water and keep aside.

2. Now, heat pan and add peanut and roast it on medium flame for 3 minutes.

3. After that, in a mixer jar take fresh coriander leaves and add green chilli, sev, roasted peanut, Ginger, Garlic, raw mango(in case if raw mango is not available then you can add tamarind as substitute), salt, water(use less water, if needed then you can add little more), blend and make a smooth paste.


4. Green coriander chutney is ready to eat, use this chutney in sanwich, kachori, sev puri, dahi puri etc and enjoy.
